​​​​Located in the picturesque city of Lijiang, the St. Regis Resort is poised to become a unique destination in China. The site offers the unique blend of rich cultural and architectural heritage with the spectacular natural beauty of the surrounding mountains as the backdrop.
The design concept draws its inspiration from the “Old Town of Lijiang”- a UNESCO Heritage Site and by the breathtaking view of the “Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.” The old town of Lijiang offers a dynamic system of waterways, canals and bridges juxtaposed with the unique architectural forms of the Naxi courtyard houses. The master planning of this expansive 21 hectare resort site is inspired by this memorable canal system with small village plazas and intimately scaled courtyards villas.
